Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of embedded software features in the C programming language and Matlab/Simulink to meet system requirements
  • This job involves working with architects and developers both locally and globally, and utilizing system requirements to design, develop, and test
  • Schematic design using Visio, AutoCAD or ProE
  • Lead electrical validation of electronic modules, harnesses and complete kits
  • Accountable for building kits and the electrical/software validation
  • Writing electrical and environmental validation plans, scheduling and performing lab work
  • Lead team endeavors; FMEA, Design Reviews, NPI Gate

 Required Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years industry experience or master’s degree and 3 years industry experience minimum
  • Highly skilled at using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Visio/AutoCAD/ProE 3 or more years of embedded software development experience 2 or more years
  • 2 or more years of C/C++ language programming
  • Matlab/Simulink experience
  • Experience with the following tools: Git, Clearcase, Trace 32 Debugger, CANalyzer,
  • Skilled with at least one virtual product development tool; Ansys, ProMechanica, PSpice
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electronic schematics with a strong understanding of electronic components
  • Familiarity with automotive, industrial and commercial electrical and electronic systems
  • Skilled in use of common electronics instruments including DVM, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.
  • Ability to effectively use electronic and mechanical hand tool
