Our client in Chicago IL is currently looking for a Maintenance Lead. This position is responsible for aiding the Maintenance and Engineering Departments with advanced line support, advanced technical support, equipment/process improvements and projects.
Hands on training and development of front line Maintenance Technicians; and being an on the shop floor leader as demonstrated through knowledge, mentoring and results are central to this role. This position has direct responsibility for ensuring all work activities under its span of control are performed with attention to the highest standards of quality, safe processes and a focus on continuous improvement.


  • Perform and inspect repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, etc. for the purpose of ensuring jobs are completed correctly, safely and efficiently.
  • Train, coach and mentor Maintenance Technicians to advance their skills to improve the support of Production and The Company.
  • Assist with continuous improvement targets.
  • Proficiently determine root cause of equipment failures and communicate resolution.
  • Aid in planning and executing projects
  • Perform all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide advanced line support as needed.
  • Provide advanced technical support as needed.
  • Complete training as requested by the Comp



  • Five (5) years of experience in Food-Processing (meat/poultry ideal).
  • Three (3) years of experience troubleshooting and repairing automated packaging equipment.
  • Ability to fabricate, including machining and welding.
  • Degree, or significant coursework/certifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Maintenance
