Successful track record selling commercial integrated controls/technology solutions in the higher education market and/or state and local government markets required. Experience with state and local cooperative purchasing agreements strongly desired. The person in this position will be a SLED vertical market specialist (subject matter expert) and be responsible for the business development and performance of all sales activities in the SLED space.

Compensation commensurate with experience, in the $85,000 base range, plus performance based, uncapped commissions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a sales pipeline and generate new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and capturing new awards in the state, local or higher education markets.  
  • Dedicated government business development with assigned regional booking goal.
  • Focus on creating opportunities through partners and develop and or/maintain trusted relationships with industry counterparts..
  • Work with Government Services Team and other Regional BDM’s to leverage programs and relationships in the state of IL.
  • Participate/lead strategic planning including company’s positioning in cooperative purchasing competitive analysis, target customer selection and qualification, and penetration plans.   
  • Meet and/or exceed established metrics (pipeline growth, close ratio, forecast accuracy, revenue production, client interaction).   
  • Identify and obtain client-specific contract vehicles.   
  • Travel as needed throughout state.
